Mehmudbhai Sokatbhai Shaikh

A Rajasthani, Mehmudbhai Sokatbhai Shaikh belongs to a family of musicians. His grandfather, Shehzad Hussain was Raj Gayak of Alwar state in Rajasthan. He gained knowledge in music from his father Shaukat Hussain. Besides dabbling in ghazal, Mehmud is comfortable with Rajasthani folk songs and Gujarati Garba. He has an audio cassette Raase Ramado Maa produced by Pavagadh-based producers Deepak and Piyush Joshi to his credit.
