Rashmi Choudhury

Rashmi Choudhury is an A grade artiste of All India Radio and has given performances both for AIR and Doordarshan. She presently works at the All India Radio, Lucknow as Station Director. Rashmi Choudhury’s consist of melodies, attractive aalaps, variation of tans, and a lot more. She can sing the Sarg/Swar with all three saptaks (octaves).

She has given a number of performances in various parts of India, which have been highly appreciated not only by the general public but also great scholars of Indian Classical Music. Recently, she has been awarded the UP Sangeet Natak Academy Award. Born to a musical family in Prayag, she started learning at a very young age from her mother Smt. Sorojini devi.

Rashmi Choudhury did her graduation in vocal music and was granted scholarship from the Ministry of Human Resources Development to learn from well-known classical singer Sulochona Brihaspati.
